AD / OBJECT EDITORIAL RECORD

THE STORY BEHIND THE OBJECT.

WHY IT MATTERS

Nova's late-'70s basketball fantasy, in saturated color. The coach would not approve of these drills.

OBJECT STORY

Nova’s Basket Practice. It’s a Saturday afternoon on a Southern California Army base, and the colonel’s son George shoots hoops with an off-duty sergeant, Rex Wolfe. Satin shorts, tube socks, knee pads and jockstraps come off one at a time.

It’s staged like a movie script, with saturated color and black-and-white. It’s jock fantasy at its best, from the late 70s.
