LEGAL / 001 — TERMS OF SALE AND USE

TERMS &
CONDITIONS.

LAST UPDATED 17 SEPTEMBER 2026

Archive Daddy is a print publications and editorial archive operated by Archive Daddy LLC, Portland, Oregon. These Terms govern your use of thearchivedaddy.com, your purchases from our shop, and your membership in the Reading Room.

By placing an order, creating an account, or purchasing a membership, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who we are

Archive Daddy LLC
7805 Southwest 40th Avenue #19361
Portland, OR 97219, United States
hello@thearchivedaddy.com

2. Objects and availability

We sell new print titles and vintage print objects. Vintage items are sold in the condition described and photographed on each listing. Age-related wear is normal and is not a defect. Where an item is the only copy we hold, the listing will say so; other titles are held in multiple copies.

New objects are published on Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. Pacific. Collector and Patron members receive access to the same objects on Mondays at 10:00 a.m. Pacific. Stock is limited and availability is not guaranteed until an order is completed.

Adding an item to your cart does not reserve it. Items are allocated when payment is completed.

3. Pricing and payment

All prices are in U.S. dollars. Payment is processed by Stripe and PayPal; we do not store your card details. We may cancel and refund an order if an item is found to be unavailable, damaged, or listed in error.

4. Shipping

We ship to the United States and Canada only. United States: $8.00 flat, or free on orders over $125.00. Canada: $25.00 flat. Patron members receive free United States shipping and $10.00 Canada shipping.

Orders are packed and dispatched within two business days. Objects are packed flat and protected for transit.

Title and risk pass to you on delivery to the address you provide. You are responsible for entering a correct and complete delivery address. We are not responsible for objects lost after delivery has been confirmed to that address.

Duties, taxes, or customs charges on Canadian deliveries are the responsibility of the recipient.

5. Returns and refunds

Vintage objects are final sale. They are not returnable and are not refundable. Each vintage object is described and photographed individually, and is sold in the condition shown. Age-related wear, handling marks, and shelf wear are characteristics of the object, not faults, and are not grounds for return.

If an object arrives damaged in transit, or is materially different from its listing, contact us at hello@thearchivedaddy.com within 7 days of delivery with photographs and we will make it right. This is the sole remedy for vintage objects.

New, non-vintage titles may be returned within 14 days of delivery, provided they are unused, unread, and in their original condition and packaging, including any shrink wrap or seal. Contact us at hello@thearchivedaddy.com before sending anything back; returns sent without contacting us first cannot be processed.

Return shipping is the buyer’s responsibility and original shipping charges are not refunded. Refunds are issued to the original payment method once the object has been received and inspected, and may be reduced or declined where an object is returned in a condition that cannot be resold. We do not offer exchanges.

6. Payment disputes and chargebacks

Contact us before you contact your bank. If something is wrong with your order, email hello@thearchivedaddy.com. We answer every message and we resolve genuine problems. A chargeback filed without contacting us first is not a faster route to a resolution; it is a slower one.

By placing an order you acknowledge that:

  • You are the authorised holder of the payment method used.
  • Vintage objects are final sale, as set out above, and a dispute filed on the basis of buyer’s remorse, a change of mind, or dissatisfaction with normal age-related condition is not a valid dispute.
  • Delivery confirmation to the address you supplied is evidence of fulfilment.

Where a dispute is filed, we will submit the full order record in response, including your order and account details, the listing and its photographs, our correspondence with you, and carrier tracking and delivery confirmation.

Where a dispute is resolved in our favour, or is withdrawn, or is found to have been filed without a valid basis, we may: close your account and cancel any membership without refund; withdraw access to the Reading Room; decline to sell to you in future; and treat any amount owing, together with any dispute fees charged to us, as a debt recoverable from you to the extent permitted by law.

Objects that are the subject of a reversed payment remain our property and must be returned to us at your cost.

None of the above limits any right you have in law, and it does not replace the dispute procedures of your card issuer or payment provider.

7. Memberships

The Reading Room offers a free tier and paid monthly or annual memberships. Paid memberships renew automatically at the then-current price until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account; cancellation stops future billing and access continues to the end of the paid period. Membership fees are not prorated.

Member benefits, including early access and shipping benefits, apply only while a membership is active.

8. Reading Room access and use

Digital editions in the Reading Room are provided for personal reading, study, and research. Members may not redistribute, republish, resell, or share access to digital editions, and may not use automated tools to bulk-download the collection. Download allowances are limited and are enforced per account.

Access is tied to your individual account and may not be shared. We may suspend access where these Terms are breached.

9. Your account

You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details and for keeping your login credentials secure. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

10. Our content

The Archive Daddy name and wordmark, site design, photography, catalogue descriptions, and editorial writing are owned by Archive Daddy LLC and may not be reproduced without permission.

Archival materials are presented for preservation, study, and historical record. If you hold rights in material presented here and wish to discuss it, contact us at hello@thearchivedaddy.com.

11. Availability of the site

We aim to keep the site and the Reading Room available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may change, suspend, or withdraw any part of the site or the collection.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Archive Daddy LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the site. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Our total liability in connection with any order is limited to the amount you paid for it.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms. The version in effect when you place an order applies to that order.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, United States.
