REFUNDS &
RETURNS.
This policy sits alongside our Terms and Conditions and explains, plainly, what can be returned and what cannot.
1. Vintage objects are final sale
Vintage print objects are not returnable and not refundable. Every vintage object is photographed and described individually, and is sold in the condition shown. Age-related wear, handling marks, creasing and shelf wear are characteristics of a fifty-year-old object, not faults, and are not grounds for return.
If you are unsure about the condition of something before you buy it, ask us. We will tell you honestly and send more photographs. That conversation is free and we would far rather have it before you order than after.
2. New titles
New, non-vintage titles may be returned within 14 days of delivery, provided they are unused, unread, and in their original condition and packaging, including any shrink wrap or seal.
Return shipping is your responsibility and original shipping charges are not refunded. Refunds are issued to the original payment method once we have received and inspected the object, and may be reduced or declined where something comes back in a condition we cannot resell. We do not offer exchanges.
3. If something arrives damaged
This applies to everything, vintage included. If an object arrives damaged in transit, or is materially different from its listing, email hello@thearchivedaddy.com within 7 days of delivery with photographs of the object and the packaging. We will replace it, refund it, or make it right some other way. For vintage objects this is the only remedy, and we honour it.
4. Before you send anything back
Contact us first at hello@thearchivedaddy.com. Returns sent without contacting us cannot be processed, and we cannot take responsibility for anything that arrives unannounced.
5. Memberships
Reading Room memberships can be cancelled at any time from your account. Cancellation stops future billing and your access continues to the end of the period you have paid for. Membership fees already paid are not refunded and are not prorated.
6. Refund timing
Once a refund is issued, the money goes back to the card or account you paid with. How quickly it appears is up to your bank, and is usually somewhere between three and ten business days.
7. Payment disputes
Please come to us before you go to your bank. We answer every message and we resolve genuine problems. Our position on disputes is set out in full in our Terms and Conditions.
