PRIVACY
POLICY.
Archive Daddy is a print publications and editorial archive operated by Archive Daddy LLC, Portland, Oregon. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we do not do with it.
1. Who we are
Archive Daddy LLC
7805 Southwest 40th Avenue #19361
Portland, OR 97219, United States
hello@thearchivedaddy.com
2. What we collect
When you order. Your name, email address, shipping and billing address, and the contents of your order.
When you join the Reading Room. Your name, email address, membership level, billing dates, and a record of which issues you open or download. We keep that record because download allowances are enforced per account, not to build a profile of your reading.
When you offer us a collection. Whatever you put in the intake form: your name, email, location, a description of the material, and any photographs you send.
When you subscribe to AD/LIB. Your email address.
Automatically. Standard server logs, including IP address, browser type and pages requested, kept for security and troubleshooting.
3. What we do not collect
We do not run advertising trackers on this site. There is no Google Analytics, no Meta or Facebook pixel, and no third-party behavioural advertising code. We do not sell, rent or trade your information to anyone, for any purpose, ever.
4. Payment information
Card payments are processed by Stripe, and PayPal payments by PayPal. Your card number never reaches this site and we never see or store it. Those companies handle that data under their own terms and privacy policies.
5. Who else sees your information
Only the companies that make the service work, and only the part they need:
- Stripe and PayPal — to take payment.
- Shipping carriers — your delivery address, so your order arrives.
- Our host and email provider — Hostinger, who store the site and send our email.
- Google reCAPTCHA — to keep spam off our forms.
We will disclose information if the law requires it. Otherwise, nobody else.
6. Discretion
We understand why discretion matters to people who buy and collect this material. Your orders, your membership, and what you read in the Reading Room are private. We do not publish buyer names, we do not credit a collection to anyone without asking first, and we do not confirm to anyone that you are a customer or a member.
7. Cookies
This site sets cookies that make it function: keeping your cart, keeping you logged in, and remembering your membership session. Google reCAPTCHA sets its own cookie for spam protection. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
8. How long we keep things
Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Membership records are kept while your membership is active and for a reasonable period afterwards. Intake enquiries are kept while we are in conversation with you and for our own records of what we have acquired. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.
9. Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or unsubscribe from our email at any time. Email hello@thearchivedaddy.com and we will do it. Some order records must be kept for tax purposes even after an account is closed.
Every marketing email we send has an unsubscribe link. Transactional email about an order or membership is not marketing and will still be sent.
10. Children
This site is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. The date above shows when it last changed.
