Front: crisp black-and-white image with sharp edges and corners and no creases or tears; a faint pressed-in rounded outline in the gray sky at center left, below the outstretched arm and left of the hip, like an impression from something resting on the cover; a couple of tiny specks in the sky at left. Back: the last photo (Roy Hunt's "The Lost Paradise" with a white lower half, which appears to be the back cover) is clean, with the white area bright and the edges and corners sharp. Inside: pages 24, 25, 30 and 31 are clean with light, even toning to the paper; page 24 has a small white dot at the lower right of the upper-right photo; page 31 has a dark strip with a few small dark marks along the far left (gutter) edge.
The story

The cover tells you to "See Ed Fury in the Italian film The Mighty Ursus at your local theatre," and inside AMG sells its own pictures. Page 24 lays out "The Bungling Burglar," with Mike Rivers as the hood who ties up hapless householder Ron Howard, billed as "a champion swimmer, life guard," in a railroad yard and a bedroom, yours for $12.50 in 8mm or $17 in 16mm. Page 25 adds the wrestling reels "Avery vs Woodbury" and "Co-burn vs Cote."

Page 30 rolls out "Models New to the Pages of Physique Pictorial" with stats and day jobs: Larry Segal of Muscle Beach, dance instructor Dennis Cole, rodeo rider Lee Markholt, trucker Robert Firster and John Brickwedel, "from Moscow (Idaho)," who "got his build from logging." Page 31 pairs a nude rear view from "Peacock vs Baker" with a frank column, "Watch Out for Blackmailers! Tips for Physique Photographers," and Roy Hunt closes the issue with "The Lost Paradise," a muscleman among temple ruins at Ankorwat, Cambodia.

Why it matters

Ed Fury on the cover, AMG film stills with their original prices, a logger and a rodeo rider among the new faces, and a column warning the photographers themselves about blackmail.
