LEGAL / 004 — HOW WE HANDLE WHAT WE CARRY

OUR
STANDARDS.

LAST UPDATED 29 SEPTEMBER 2026

Archive Daddy keeps queer print in circulation. These are the standards we hold ourselves to while we do it.

1. Copyright and rights holders

Most of what we carry was published decades ago by studios and small presses that have long since closed, merged or disappeared. Where a rights holder, photographer, model or their estate can be found, we try to reach them: to ask, to credit properly, and to keep the work in the right hands.

If you hold the rights to something in the archive and want it credited differently, licensed, or taken down, email hello@thearchivedaddy.com. We read every message and act on it quickly.

2. What we sell

Everything in the Shop and the Backroom is a physical object: an original printed copy, or new print made by its publisher. We sell the object itself. Scans in the Reading Room are there to be read and studied, and they are credited to their original publishers wherever that is known.

3. Never minors

Archive Daddy never sells, shows or condones anything involving minors. Every person in the material we carry was presented by its publisher as an adult. If anything raises doubt, we pull it. If you see something that concerns you, email hello@thearchivedaddy.com and we will remove it the same day while we look into it.

4. Private papers stay private

Published magazines go online. Private snapshots, letters and personal papers that come to us in collections stay offline unless the person, or their estate, agrees otherwise.

5. Adults only

The Backroom and parts of the Reading Room contain explicit material. They are for adults, and are kept behind an age check.
