THE STORY BEHIND THE OBJECT.
Brentwood's Film Revue magazines were a San Francisco studio selling its movies in print: all color, almost no words, one film per issue. This one opens in a steamed-up shower and closes on a hand over white briefs.
Brentwood, "A Film Revue Magazine," $12.50, Adults Only, All Color. The front cover is a four-panel grid in blue and sepia, a man in plaid watching another through a steamed shower door.
The back cover keeps the masthead and price and tightens in: hands on white briefs over a plaid shirt, with "All models are 18 years of age or older."
