Pacifico Silano crops, frames and layers vintage gay erotica into pictures about loss and longing in the shadow of the AIDS crisis, which took his uncle. His first artist’s book folds out accordion-style into two twenty-panel sequences that read as one long collage or as single images. It was shortlisted for the Paris Photo–Aperture PhotoBook Award and the Rencontres d’Arles Book Award, then sold out. This is the second printing, from June 2026. Includes an interview with the artist by José Diaz of The Andy Warhol Museum.
