The story
Jockstrap announces itself as Vol 1 No 1 and then gets straight to the point, with a full-frontal color cover, World-Famous Ty Redifer and his lover, Super-Star Don Peterson and a feature billed, with a perfectly straight face, as an informative pictorial on ejaculation. No masthead appears on the pages we photographed, which is typical of the hard-edged adult titles that came and went in the early seventies once explicit material could finally be sold over the counter.
The old shop sticker on the cover is part of its story, a reminder that this passed through an adult bookstore before it reached us. First issues of these short-run titles rarely survive in this kind of shape, and this one still has its colors.
