Very Good
THE STORY BEHIND THE OBJECT.
Trucks, jeeps, denim, and Hawk and Bruno, a hairy mustached man showing a younger guy the ropes. Every retro shoot since has been trying to copy this tailgate.
Hawk and Bruno, "men who like their sex on wheels." A hairy-chested, mustached stud in denim with a pickup truck, a Land Cruiser, and a lot of dirt road.
Shot outside in dry grass, mostly black-and-white and duotone with 8 pages of color. It's rugged, sweaty and blue collar, exactly the kind of man they don't make magazines about anymore. A shop's $7 sticker is still on the cover.
